Through the winter and spring months NBA games for the New York Knicks are played at the famous Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The Islanders on the other hand were started in the mid 1970s and while they are not as old as the Rangers, they have seen great success. Their games are played at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The hockey season is a long one and lasts from early fall to late spring.
